Under the auspices of H.E. Ferry de Kerckhove, the Ambassador of Canada to Egypt, the Business Development Services Support Project (BDSSP), funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), in cooperation with the Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI), held  a special workshop on facilitating “Access to Finance to SMEs, during the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2009 in Egypt, at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science - Cairo University.   The objective of the workshop is to raise the awareness of potential SME owners, with the new and diversified channels of financing for entrepreneurs, as well as micro financing.  Experts and practitioners from banks and NGOs presented business development services, different funding resources and financing channels, which will meet the requirements of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
